Mandakranta Sen

Mandakranta Sen studied Medicine but left during the final exam. Her first collection of poems Hridoy Abadhya Meye won Ananda Puraskar. She has 28 collections of poetry, 11 novels, 3 collections of short stories, 1 collection of novelettes, 2 collections of articles and more. She has received many awards, including Krittibas Puraskar, Sunil Gongopadhyay Smriti Samman, Kalpatoru Samman, Utsav Puraskar and Sahitya Akademy Golden Jubilee Award which she returned under certain circumstances.
